Lazy blogger

It’s has been quite some time, yeah I haven’t blog since March. About 2 years ago, before I blogged my first post, I just got a premonition that one day I won’t be able to keep on blogging 24/7, not because of my hectic life but I knew myself too well that I am easily intrigued and yet I am easily bored.

Not much of things actually happened these past few months. Let me just recap and summarise them all.

May 2009

None other than the month of my rebirth. This year my husband being extra generous (given that he occasionally buy me gift after we got engaged and married 2 years back) He bought me a new Blackberry Storm 9500. It makes me want to cry and at the same time, curiosity hit me that he could actually be trying to win my heart to ‘menikah lagi satu’? Anyway that Berry is the best present I ever had. Sarcastically he said “It’s not too much if I expect a new TAG Heuer Carrera wrapped in a box for February next year kan?” . Laki I sungguh tak ikhlas dan tak malu. ;-P

June 2009

I took 4 days off went to Singapore for my cousin, Kak Feeza’s wedding. My husband finally got to know each of my relatives and cousins closely. Now he knows that each of my clan is born with a sharp tongue that can tickle you to death.

July 2009

2 years of marriage and we still rock on. We just went out for dinner this year. I love you dear even though your belly grows bigger and faster than your paycheck. No special gift as we want to save some money to spend in Singapore on August. And yeah, not to forget we adopt a new furkid named Pipo. I will blog about Pipo later. (Someone please intrigue me!)

August 2009

Took 4 days off and went to Singapore again for another cousins, Ariffin’s and Asyraf’s wedding. I went to Sentosa on the last day of the trip. But it just a short trip as we need to rush back to KL. I ni kuli and kena kerojer you....

Phew...magic! I couldn’t believe I have just posted 4 months of life updates in one post. I think I should do this more. Oh common..4 posts in a year is not so bad... rite guys?

Precocious P Ramlee pt 2

This movie clip below was taken from "Pendekar Bujang Lapok". When asked to read the 'Public School For Illiterate' signboard, the illiterate Sudin spelt it as "Alif - mim - nun - wau"




For those who knows Jawi, Alif (a) - mim (m) - nun (n) - wau (u) means Amno/Umno . But the illiterate Sudin read is as "Alif-mim-nun-wau - Circus".

The joke part was Sudin spelt and read it as if he is literate, but he's actually not. In other way the act is interpreting the malay proverb 'Bodoh Sombong' which means a moron who acts like an Einstein.

And the cynical part is Sudin spelt Umno as 'Circus'. Why he did that? Do I need to explain more?

Imagine what if P Ramlee is still alive, I bet he is living in the next cell to Raja Petra now....heh...

This Hands Are Not Made For Blogging

So, in case you haven't noticed, I have been a little, shall we say "tak rajin nak update" --on this blog these past few months. Maybe it's because nothing interesting has happened lately in my personal life.

Or maybe because I have become newly aware of the need to be hyper observant not to offend any specific group of people like the global moronic, the greedy politician or the annoying neighbours/relatives and as a result I have totally lost my sarcasm mojo.

My sis-in-law gave birth to a beautiful baby girl named Dania Alisha Asthmara last month and I'm officially an 'Aunty' now. And of course with all the joy and excitement from relatives comes the question "Awak bila lagi/When is your turn?" as if I'm the fortune-teller Dukun Mak Esah who can tell the answer right away.

"Kalau boleh sekarang ni jugak nak. Tapi rezeki Allah belum sampai lagi kan, doakan saya banyak-banyak ya"

....past experience taught me to be more rational sarcastic person ...heh

My ex-classmate (form 1-2) and nemesis in class. It's pretty retarded you know. I mean there are times when we are really pushing ourselves to get the highest score in all subjects. She once refused to speak to me for several weeks just because I got the highest score in one of her favourite subject (can't remember). We laughed to think how absurd we used to be. Now she's a supermom of two and lecturing engineering course in Kuitho.

Herlyna..my bestest friend, my Maid of Honor, gym partner, partner in crime and kerja2 haram apa lagi...my shoulder to cry on suma yg best lah. We are both Taurian, I've known her for 7 years since college. The only flaw she has is..she's too kind to other people. Some people just love to take advantage of her kindness and that makes me 'beng' sometimes. Monyet's mom name Putt is Elynn's cat so in a way we are 'family' related la kan..heh

2. 7 facts about myself

- I was born at 1.15am (1+1+5=7) on Monday, May 19th 1981. Malcolm X was born on May 19th 1925 (2+5=7) and assasinated in year 1965, 16 yrs before I was born (1+6=7) ironic or coincidence?

- I was born a day before my mom's birthday and that makes me the perfect gift in her life..(eh wahh drama sikit.) We shared birthday cake since then

- I am a product of mixed parentage - Japanese(Mak Tok)+Malay(Tok Ayah) from my mom and Mamak (Mak Mok) + Malay (Tok Bak) from my Abah.

- I tied the knot on July 7th 2007 with the hope we'll be lucky in love forever.

- ...but my lucky number is 9.

- My car number is 1468 (1+4+6+8= 19)

- I failed my driving test once ;)

3. 6 unspectacular quirks of me
- I am a coffee person. I would normally have 1 mug of coffee for breakfast, 2-3 mugs in the office and another 1 mug before I go to bed

- .....and maybe that makes me a chronic insomniac

- I trained Monyet to poop in the toilet simply by locked him inside the toilet after every meal for 7days in row. By 8th day he went to toilet himself without me have to scruch his neck into toilet

- I am a tv series junky since I was 5 yo when I know how to read the subtitles (that time 1986 - famous citer McGyver, V, Knight Rider)

- Yes I'm the only kid who can read newspaper and any reading material in malay fluently in my kindergarden that time (1986). That time kira terror tuh, mana ada cam sekarang ni little kids age 2,3 y.o dah gi sekolah and can read both malay and english fluently kan. I do still have a photo of me while in kindergarden reading 'Kisah Sang Kancil dan Buaya' on stage during 'Hari Penyampaian Hadiah Tabika Kemas'

- I am a gamer, from Nitendo Console, to CD-PC Game, to PS to DVD-PC Game. I used to be a Hardcore Gamer during school and college year. I spend most of my time in my room with my PC Game that time. My first and favorite-of-alltime RPG game that I played is Chrono Cross. Best gila. Barbie Doll don't excite me much when I was young because I grew up with 3 brothers. My biggest achievement -my 'Jari Bangku' husband is now an amateur gamer. Bolehlah main game biasa cam FIFA series, but he never want to try any of my RPG collections because "It's too complicated, takper i layan tgk u main jer ok..". Nowadays, due to some unforeseen circumstances, (ehhmm) I'm more like a casual gamer. Main game bila free ajer yer.hat

I found this cat website Catster while googling the website for cat behavior. (I'm trying to find a way to increase Monyet's social skill with 'stranger'). I took one of the cat quizzes and.....

Best Friends: Tales of the Rebellious 6

My besties came to my house to gather last weekend. We had so much fun although within such a short amount of time and it is the best weekend I ever had so far.

Joe Johanna, Oya Suriyah, Akak Nazura, Sal Saleha and Nieda Hairul Hanida are my sisters since I was in Form 4. We are known as one entity, 6 Pencacai or 6 Jahanam (The Rebellious 6). Each of us has a their own characteristic. We allow each other into innermost places in our heart; revealing and sharing our hopes, dreams and fears and these factors are actually create the strongest bond of friendship between us. We used to be always together where ever we go back then, we sat next to each other in the classroom, spent many hours gossiping and chatting, we went to school together, ate together, slept together (during school camping of course..heh) and we even been placed next to each other in our Classroom Photo.

Joe is the first person I knew during the registration day in SMT Tg Puteri. We are mate the minute we know our similar craze with Backstreet Boys. Hell yeah, actually we're always into similar interest, from BSB to Smash Hits to Softball to Desperate Housewives to Grey's Anatomy and heh Heroes. (kan budak?) We were placed in the same classroom, we sat next to each other and right behind us are Oya and Sal.

Oya is my classmate in SMK Sri Rahmat's 4 Science 3 Class before we got offered to SMTTP. Given that we had been placed in different classes after PMR, we barely knew each other before. Meaning to say that our friendship actually grows from SMTTP. Oya is the greatest ‘saviour’, the brightest in school and not surprised to be the one with highest level of education among us. From helping me to solve the most complicated Add Math equation to covering me up when I was suddenly been ‘waked’ by Cikgu Jalal to continue the History textbook reading; Oya never fails to be a good and unconditionally help to us.

Sal is the trendiest and luckiest among us. She’s already wore the contact lenses when we just about to know what contact lenses is from the ads that time. Soft spoken with inner beauty ; Sal is a kind of girl which most boys would like to have as a perfect girlfriend and mother in law would love to have as a daughter. Yet, she still down to earth,generous and always be the one who treat us for 'makan'.

Nieda is the coolest and calmest, our ‘mom’ and really is the first to experience motherhood among us. She simply the type of person you will look for during hard times. I really respect and admire her unvarying gentleness and patience that never fails to soothe our doubts and calms any of our 'kantoi' fears.

Akak Zura, the youngest in her family but act like a big sister to us. I used to live within the same housing area with her, we went to same school before SMTTP(same like Oya, we barely knew to each other at SMKSR) and took the same bus to school. Akak is known as a stern face with a killer jokes; a high level sense of humor. She always jokes unpredictably that make us nearly choked trying not to laugh out loud sometimes. Akak’s killer jokes never fail to get a good laugh out from us and that makes us closer each day.

11 years of friendship; can you believe how strong the chemistry between us? Well it may be easy to maintain friendship with one bestfriend, but a gang of 6 bestfriends? Believe me; it is not easy as the way it looks.Our own personal life commitment increase as we grow older. Joe is now a promising QS in JB, Oya is teaching IT Programming course in SMT Kangar, Nieda is a technician in JPS Putrajaya and a proud mother of 2, Akak is a Logistic & Purchasing Exec in JB and Sal is sacrificing her own career to be a devout housewife to her husband and future kids. (The most noble sacrifice that I wish I have more courage to do.)
