My roadtax will expire on the 1st Oct 2008, which is most probably will be the 1st day of Hari Raya. Given that gov service department or anything related to gov bureaucracy will take ages (especially during this Ramadan fasting month, some people tend to have a brain deterioration at a very fast rate), I decided to renew my roadtax at least 2 weeks earlier.
I saw this MyEG Service ad which provides an online roadtax and insurance renewal. So I went to the website, key in my contact details, and within 15 minutes my phone rang. It's a call from myEG officer who offered to renew my roadtax and insurance at minimum fee and 30% discount on my road tax. I gave him my vehicle details, and he promised to email me the quotation within 1 hour. Surprisingly, the email came 10minutes later. I chose to pay the road tax and insurance through online. Thanks to the super fast myEG online payment system, I completed my transaction process in less than 5 minutes.
Then, I faxed my payment receipt to that myEG officer. He called me back 10minutes later to confirmed that my roadtax renewal has been approved, and they will deliver the JPJ sticker to my office within 3 working days. Anyway, I have prepared myself to be dissapointed with the common 'data and system error' kind of excuses should I did not received my sticker after 3days.
Not as I expected it to be, I received my JPJ sticker the next day at 10.00am. Bravo to myEg for their superefficient service. Imagine if the other gov/non-gov produce the same service efficiency; uhhh our Bolehland will be a heaven place to live....
